Easter one month from today March 23

We have a new tradition in our Family. It started last year and was a huge success and a wonderful experience for the Edwards. I came across an lds book. entitled 'A Christ Centered Easter'. To my delight, there were activities for each day the week leading up to Easter Sunday. The family that put this together did an amazing amount of research, so that our Easter Celebration each year, will have meaning and faith promoting experiences within our home for my children. Thank you so much!
There are scriptures and songs, stories and recipes for food eaten during the time of Christ. We ate leaven bread, bitter herbs and lamb. One of our favorite activities was the LOVE/Compliment journal. At the beginning of the week you set out a notebook, pencils and pens and put this in busy part of the house. Then everyone is to watch for and jot down why and what they love about another family member. I set ours on the ottoman in the family room so all could see it each day at scripture reading. Then we read it on Easter Sunday. After writing the compliment you don't sign your name. So all were anonymous!
It was fun to see the kids light up when something nice was said about them. There are so many activities to choose from. Each are age appropriate for teens and children. Its wonderful and I wanted to share. (PS you don't have to be LDS to enjoy this christian book!)
